After a 3 year hiatus from showing (due to my work schedule) and a timeout to raise a litter in 2006, Miss Riley pulled 2007 off with finesse, entering the conformation ring to finish her CH as well as tearing it up in the obedience arena, earning her CD, CDX, RN, RA, RE, and RAE all in rapid succession with many placements in all levels and perfect scores in Rally. She is now taking a short break from actively training for utility and agility having whelped a litter out of Multiple Group Winning AKC/ASCA CH. Briarbrooks Cast In Silver "Larry" producing some outstanding pups.
Look for her kids from her recent litter entering the show rings soon! The kids from her first litter are making a wonderful showing in their careers, already chalking up points in conformation and working towards agility and obedience titles. We are pleased to have our first home-bred champion from this litter with Bubbles earning her Championship in limited showing. We're also pround of Taylor earning his UAG-1 agility title this year and currently showing in conformation in the midwest. Jesse is AKC major pointed and will be entering the ring this spring to finish his CH while training for the obedience arena and Faith is also AKC major pointed and currently showing in the conformation rings in CA.
Riley is a soft, kind-hearted soul who spends her favorite days with mom at the vet clinic, hanging around in case a demo dog is needed, and just enjoying being with everyone. With expressions more human than canine at times, she works hard meeting clients and proving to them what a perfect dog these Aussies are. She hasn't meant a person yet she couldn't convert!
